COURSE OVERVIEW
The Activity First Aid course is specifically designed for people involved in sports, leisure, recreation and activity-based environments. It covers Basic Life Support alongside a wide range of injuries and conditions commonly associated with physical activity and outdoor settings.
This comprehensive qualification is suitable for those working with sports clubs, activity groups, voluntary organisations and community settings. Training is delivered on-site across Edinburgh, The Lothians and Fife.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
During the Activity First Aid course, learners will cover a broad range of first aid skills, including:
Responsibilities and reporting
Assessment of the situation
Resuscitation
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
Choking
Angina and heart attacks
Seizures
Minor injuries
Basic hygiene in first aid
