COURSE OVERVIEW
The Basic Life Support First Aid course is a short, practical introduction to essential first aid skills. It is suitable for anyone looking to gain basic first aid knowledge and confidence, particularly those who may encounter emergency situations in the workplace, community or everyday life.
This course is especially suitable for continuing professional development (CPD) and can be tailored to suit workplaces, clubs and associations, schools and colleges. Training is delivered on-site across Edinburgh and The Lothians.

Arriving at the scene
Primary survey
Secondary assessment
Resuscitation
The focus is on recognising an emergency, assessing a casualty, and responding safely and appropriately.
