COURSE OVERVIEW
Mini Medics First Aid is a fun, interactive and age-appropriate introduction to basic first aid for children aged 7 to 11. The course is designed to help children understand what first aid is, how they can help in an emergency, and how to respond safely and confidently.
Training is delivered in a supportive and engaging way, using simple language and practical activities that respect each child’s ability and level of understanding. Sessions are tailored to suit the age of the group and the setting.
This course is delivered on-site at your school, club or chosen venue across Edinburgh, The Lothians and Fife.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
During the Mini Medics First Aid course, children will learn:
What first aid is
How to respond in an emergency
Basic CPR (age-appropriate)
Defibrillation awareness
Recovery position
Choking
Asthma
Wounds and bleeding
All topics are taught at a basic level, without confusing terminology, and with a strong focus on safety and confidence.

Mini Medics First Aid is a recognised children’s first aid programme designed specifically for young learners. Sessions are delivered in a calm, encouraging environment, helping children feel comfortable, involved and proud of what they’ve learned.
This course is non-regulated and focuses on education, awareness and confidence rather than formal assessment.
