COURSE OVERVIEW
CPR & AED Training provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to respond to a cardiac arrest emergency involving both adults and children. The course supports training on all automated external defibrillators (AEDs), regardless of make or model.
This qualification is suitable for learners who have a responsibility at work or who are involved in voluntary and community activities where an AED is available. Training is delivered on-site across Edinburgh, The Lothians and Fife.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
During the CPR & AED Training course, learners will cover:
Recognising cardiac arrest in adults and children
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Safe and effective use of an AED
Resuscitation Council (UK) compliant procedures
Choking (adult and child)
Responding calmly and confidently in an emergency
Training is practical and hands-on, focusing on clear decision-making and safe use of equipment.

Delivery: On-site at your workplace or chosen venue

Minimum age: 14
(Learners cannot assume responsibility as a workplace first aider until age 16)

BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE
This regulated qualification is awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA) and is recognised by Ofqual and SQA. The course enables learners to recognise cardiac arrest and respond safely and effectively using CPR and an AED.
Training is delivered by a qualified nurse and experienced first aid trainer, ensuring instruction is accurate, practical and up to date.
