It was a pleasure delivering a first aid training session for the team at RBS in December. With limited time and a large group to train, the session focused on essential life-saving skills delivered in a clear, practical and engaging way.

Practical, Focused First Aid Training
With just one hour and around 40 participants, the session was designed to cover key first aid topics efficiently while ensuring everyone felt confident and involved.
The training included:
CPR and resuscitation techniques
How defibrillators (AEDs) work
Choking
Anaphylaxis
Recognising signs of stroke
Many participants had never seen or used a defibrillator before, so having the opportunity to practise and understand how AEDs work was particularly valuable.
Building Confidence in Real Situations
First aid training isn’t just about learning steps — it’s about feeling confident enough to act. The team engaged well throughout the session, asked thoughtful questions, and practised techniques in a supportive environment.
It was great to hear feedback afterwards that the team felt more confident and prepared to respond in an emergency.
